I know I can get everything done in the NYX palette (and more) that I desire to do with contouring and highlighting palette. I have no desire to purchase the ABH or any other high-end contour palettes and I don’t feel like I’m missing out on anything other brands have to offer.
#NYX HIGHLIGHT PRO#
In my personal opinion, I am very happy with the NYX Pro Contour Palette. I usually use the neutral brown shade, as red undertones can leave my complexion muddy looking. They are not in any way glittery, but more of a finely milled sheen and they look very natural.įor Bronzing- C1 & C2 are ideal for bronzing up the face or adding some color to your complexion if you feel pale.
#NYX HIGHLIGHT SKIN#
The pearl highlight powder (h1) is beautiful as well and is a great for a highlighting shadow to brighten up my inner eye, but peach is best for highlighting with skin tone, so I gravitate towards that one more. It, just like the taupe powder, was highly pigmented, but blended beautifully.įor Highlighting- I enjoy the peach highlight powder (h4) for adding a little glow to the high points of my face (cheekbones and down the bridge of my nose). I have also used the darkest brown powder (C4) when I wanted an extremely defined contour for a dramatic look. It is also extremely blendable, so if I overdo it, I can easily blend it out so it doesn’t look as harsh (which definitely happened the first few times I used it, since I didn’t expect it to be that pigmented). It is extremely pigmented, so I love that a little goes a long way. I feel like it is the perfect shade to carve out the natural contour of my face and it’s extremely comparable to my favorite contour shade, NYX Taupe blush (it probably is the same now that I think of it-aha moment). I also feel like the finely milled powder gives a slight blurring effect to my pores, which I always appreciate.įor Contouring- I love using the matte taupe powder (c3). To Set (under eyes)– I use a combination of the banana powder and the matte nude powder (h2 & h3) and it does a wonderful job at setting and brightening my under eyes.

All 8 powders are all highly pigmented and creamy, easily blendable and finely milled.Ĭ1-soft brown with red undertone powder (satin) What I do know is that I’ve been using the palette exclusively for highlighting and contouring the past few weeks and I am really impressed with the quality of the powders. I don’t own the ABH Contour Palette, or any others for that matter, but I was in the same boat as you wondering which one to purchase. I am not here to convince you, but I am here to tell you my honest opinion. I know what a lot of you are wondering: Is the NYX Highlight and Contour Pro Palette worth it? Why don’t I just dish out the few extra bucks for the Anastasia Palette? What’s the difference?
